Fiction in 50 – Love in the Time of Sadism

Here is my effort for February’s Fiction in 50 challenge, where one has to come up with a piece of fiction at exactly 50 words. The theme was ‘love in the time of…’ and I chose sadism. Let me know what you think.

Love in the Time of Sadism

You wanted to give him your heart,

So in spirit, you’d never be apart.

I therefore took the liberty,

Of removing it from your body,

Before promptly handing it over to him,

Wrapped in bright red ribbon.

And if I’d said that he was delighted,

Then I would be fibbin’.

  1. Haha! Another case of the misuse of the word “literally”.. I love it! Although surely he was a little bit happy – everyone loves getting a surprise present 😉
